Project: Two bathroom renovations featuring clean lines and a timeless style.
The main and ensuite bathrooms of this Newport family home were last renovated in the 1990s. With their children all grown up and the owners now empty nesters, they wanted the bathrooms to feature a more clean, contemporary styling rather than the former ‘utilitarian’ decor featured in the original design.
Additionally, the original waterproofing was failing and water had started leaking into the rooms below, prompting the bathroom renovations to be fast-tracked ASAP.
The 900mm, wall hung Hamilton vanity features an above counter basin and wall-mounted taps. This provides more vanity-top space and adds to the clean lines throughout the bathroom.
An integral improvement to the main bathroom renovation was to replace the old timber window and louvres. These were replaced with aluminium frames which achieve a more streamlined profile to aptly showcase the serene bush outlook and filtered water views. Importantly, aluminium frames will better withstand the salt and winds experienced at the coastal location.
As the photos attest, the finished result was stunning. The modern fixtures and fittings significantly opened up both bathrooms, creating more floor space. Best of all, the clean lines and simple styling will certainly stand the test of time whilst providing a blank canvas for the owners to add their own personal touches to suit their mood over the coming years.
