Project: House extension and internal renovation on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
This extensive Mosman renovation, which included an extension of the existing house, returned a fantastic result for the client by providing more living space and transformed the property into a warm and welcoming home. We were also required to undertake some remedial work to overcome existing problems and repair any issues that arose during the renovation.
In preparation for the new work to commence, we dismantled all existing joinery and removed the chimney. We added a new roof and rectified existing drainage problems. A ventilation system was installed under the house. To provide more living space, we extended the internal living area as per the Engineer’s specifications.
The majority of the internal areas were renovated including all bedrooms and bathrooms, living area, dining room, linen press, laundry, wine store and media room.
All flooring in common areas was replaced with stunning engineered oak timber floorboards. To enhance the natural light throughout the home, we installed skylights where required. We designed and installed custom joinery (built-in wardrobes, kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanities) in keeping with the new interior design.

- Totally renovated 2 bathrooms (see below), laundry and study area, 2 bedrooms, walk-in wardrobe and ensuite.
- Remove all floors internal floors and replace with new.
- Added new bi-fold doors to outside area.
- Built a new pergola with external paving, and new cladding. Replaced the front balcony railings and guttering with new.
- Added a new area by adding a new bathroom where the old kitchen was. Added a new kitchen to the home.
- Opened up living area and added a media room.
Bathroom renovation particulars
The bathrooms designs were a combination of terrazzo natural stone, white tiles and wood finish accessories. To add some contrast on the niches we’ve used the terrazzo stone as a feature. Skylights were installed to take advantage of the natural light.
